Management

There are multiple ways to manage Mitral Valve Stenosis.  

1. Balloon Valvuloplasty - a percutaneous procedure using a catheter
2. Commisurotomy - surgery done to the Mitral Valve to split the leaflets apart leaving the patient with their own valve
3. Valve replacement - changing the valve with a metal valve or  tissue valve
